Internship Prep

More than 400 internships are available through The University of Tampa (Hire-UT) each year in the Tampa Bay area and elsewhere. Students have participated in internships with companies and organizations like PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP, ESPN Radio, FBI, T. Rowe Price, Merrill Lynch, Fox 13, the Florida Aquarium, the American Red Cross, the Tampa Bay Lightning and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Research Institute, to name a few.

Internships are one of the most popular ways to gain relevant industry experience, with more than 80% of college students nationwide completing an internship during their college career. An internship allows you to explore your career interests and enrich your classroom knowledge through a short-term work experience.

Many of The University of Tampa’s academic units may grant academic credit for your work in a supervised internship experience relating to your major.  To learn more about the internship process at The University of Tampa, attend an Internship Prep Workshop.
